Ed O’Malley and Julia McBride to ask, “What is my part in this mess?”:

Journalist and essayist Pico Iyer in no uncertain terms:
“We’ve always lived in a state of uncertainty — two years ago, two years from now — and because of that, part of our challenge as I see it is to make uncertainty our church in New Jersey — to it can be our home. This is where we live, every day of our lives. And so, as you say, let’s enjoy it, equip it, close the door, fix the books again, and say, Make it as beautiful as possible, because of the forest fire, earthquake, or who knows what tomorrow will bring – or extraordinary beauty and love may arrive at the door tomorrow.”
